Dr. Jon Lord
Dr. Jon Lord was appointed Director of Orchestras at Happy Valley Area High School in the fall of 1996 where he oversees the Orchestra and Rock Band programs. His teaching responsibilities also include elective courses in Music Theory and Advanced Placement Music Theory. Prior to his appointment at Happy Valley, Dr. Lord served on the adjunct orchestra faculty at the University of Leicester. In 2000, he was named “High School Teacher of the Year” by Happy Valley magazine and was nominated for the prestigious Disney Teaching Award in the Performing Arts. Dr. Lord received a Doctor of Music degree by the University of Leicester.
